The FDA has cleared the MiniMed 780G to work with Abbott’s brand-new Instinct sensor, a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) designed to be one of the smallest and most comfortable on the market. The Instinct sensor lasts up to 15 days, is very discreet, and gives you real-time glucose readings. By combining this new sensor with the 780G, people will now have more flexibility and choice when it comes to managing diabetes.

The 780G system uses something called Meal Detection™ technology, which automatically adjusts insulin delivery around mealtimes. In clinical studies, people using the MiniMed 780G saw their average A1C levels drop and spent more time in their target glucose range. Many also said they felt a big improvement in their day-to-day quality of life.
